...The PSAT is a good way to get used to the SAT. If you're really, really good at it, you can also win a National Merit Scholarship. It tests the same exact things as the SAT (except for the essay). I've co-authored an SSAT/ISEE prep book, so I'm very familiar with the test.

...I generally charge $40/hour but my price is negotiable depending on grade level and academic material. During my tutoring sessions, I use individual homework problems and questions to help the student understand the general concepts. I encourage a student to complete the homework that they understand prior to the tutoring session in order to maximize the benefit of the session.
