I have been involved in science education for over 30 years and I have taught chemistry from the middle school level up to and including pre-med students preparing for the MCAT. There is no magic bullet to replace a students willingness to work and their desire to learn. I as a tutor, simply know how to ask a student the right questions and they are then able to find the answers themselves.

...I am very big about using object lessons and methods that allow for easy, effective memorization. Personally, I wouldn't consider myself brilliant in any area, but that allows me to see and teach subjects like a normal person. ...In my approach I try to simplify the material to build a basic understanding to develop the fundamentals needed to solve all types of problems. Without fundamentals, there can be no advancement and the student cannot build on top of that basic understanding. I very much enjoy watching students? progress and seeing them develop.
