...Math is created through deductive logic (not magic or guessing!), so anyone with patience and discipline could show why the Pythagorean theorem is true or why the circumference of a circle is 2 x pi x radius. If you can prove it, you can understand it. Much too often, though, your teacher/tutor will just tell you the equation for a circle and expect you to blindly believe that it's correct.
