...I gauge where the student is at in knowing the concepts by having him work out the problems. Every problem has two parts: the first is recognizing what kind of problem it is (i.e., quadratic equation) and the second is the mechanics of working it out (i.e., arithmetic skills). I have been tutoring since I was in high school myself, back in 1979. I keep it simple and fun!
