...After college, I took a position as a math teacher with the Philadelphia School District. I have taught Algebra 1, Geometry, Pre-calculus, and Algebra 2. While with the Philadelphia School District, I re-wrote curriculums for Geometry, Algebra 1 and Algebra 2 to incorporate remedial skills and enrichment for the students in my classroom.

...I am training to be a math teacher and have worked with kids at several points so I have a strong knowledge base of math and how to teach it to young children. ...I think teaching one-on-one is very effective, and I don't give up until the student can do it one their own. I know that it is sometimes difficult to get excited about a particular math concept, especially when you don't think you will need it down the road. Chances are that you won't.
